Value Adding Project
Achievements
The project developer/owner was a consortium
of American companies unfamiliar with development of projects in
the United Kingdom.
The GT26 gas turbine was a new development for
ABB. The Enfield Energy Centre was the first application of this
new technology into a commercial operation.
The Scott Wilson team added value to the
project by providing the necessary United Kingdom skills in respect
of the Grid Code Compliance and in addition provided a constructive
and objective review of the design and compilation of the project
quality documentation, taking into account the nature of the new
technology. Scott Wilson team provided expert advice during the
extended commissioning of the project and the activity resulted in
a sound commercial independent power project for the developer /
owner.
