Project Background
Scott Wilson was commissioned to carry out the
masterplanning of an existing residential site in a deprived area
of Cheltenham. We were chosen as one of three consultants to launch
demonstration improvement schemes across the city. The
environmental improvements required us to address the following
issues:
- Security
- Appearance
- Parking
- General Improvements
- Community Regeneration
Project Scope
The commission was to carry out a site
appraisal and produce three sketch options for the site, ranging
from cheapest to most expensive. The options were presented to a
tenants working group, emphasising the importance of community
involvement in this type of work.
