BBC Music Box, White City
Project Introduction
We were appointed by Foreign Office Architects at the
competition stage of this project to create a multi purpose music
centre for recording and performing.
Project Background
The centre is to house the BBC Orchestras, the choir and BBC
singers and will provide studios for recording, and performing to
an audience of up to 400 people.
Project Scope
Temperature, lighting and acoustics of the recording/performance
spaces were, of course, extremely important in the design of this
scheme.
Value Adding Project Achievements
With our help Foreign Office Architects were successful in
winning the competition stage of this development.
